True Love and Light 2
The love of God is magnified by His divine nature in loving and caring for His children. Just like parents would prepare and take heartfelt steps to establish a home in which their children can grow up, God created the heaven and Earth in proper sequence so humans can live in the proper environment.
The greatest love from God, that surpasses all the external things He prepares and gives to us, is communicated to us in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” He died for our sins so we can live. This is the greatest Love in the entire universe.
God created us human in the image of God, we bore His likeness in character and nature. One of the greatest human gifts is our free will to choose, along with the creativity, passion, compassion, artistry, an analytical mind, and so on. The history and stories recorded in the Bible nicely illustrate God’s relationship with people.
God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. They and their offspring were supposed to “be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
The communication between God and humans was good. Adam and Eve understood what God told them to do and not to do. The tree of knowledge of good and evil was the only condition that would cause death and separation from God. Because of free will and temptation, Adam and Eve did not obey God’s Word and rebelled against it.
Taking the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve not only excommunicated themselves from God, but also passed on their sin to the entire human race. There was no way out of the law of sin or a way to restore relations with God through human effort and endeavor.
The poison of sin not only damaged the physical bodies, but also the souls of human beings. The spirit of mankind was basically dead, as God told Adam and Eve what would happen if they took the fruit from the forbidden tree.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only remedy and spiritual prescription to recover the relationship that God originally created with mankind. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.”
Just like the law of aerodynamics can overcome the law of gravity in moving people upward, the law of the Spirit can overcome the law of sin and death in saving mankind. The human relationship with the law of Spirit and Jesus Christ opens the gate for people to enter God’s kingdom.
The messages of peace, love, and hope have been spreading to all human beings through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Only when the Word of God lives in the heart of men, can men truly overcome sin. The living Word of God is Jesus Christ. He is the Savior for all humankind.
The processes of God’s creation and redemption are shown throughout the entire Bible, where John 3:16 is the highlight and summary of the main theme of the Bible.
